I have a text message saying (Name of Player) has lost a hero... I was wondering how to make the name of the player into their color without having to lock colors to specific players.
Just grab the player's name at map startup and assign it to an array of text values, if you have 5 players, make it an array of 5, then just use the player number to call it. Here is me assigning an array value a name, with color.
UI - Display ((Text (Name of player (Triggering player)) with color (Color((Current player (Triggering player) color)))) + " has set game speed to faster.") for (All players) to Subtitle area
there is a combine text option used which combines player with color and the message and the first half of the combine is text with color fuction with sub function name of player and color of player. this is a command i throw into all my maps (real dirty) that allows players to adjust game speed it announces who changed the game speed and that the command was executed.

@littlefury916: Go

gv_playerName[lp_playerNum] = StringToText("<c val=\"") + StringToText(libNtve_gf_ConvertColorToString(libNtve_gf_ConvertPlayerColorToColor(PlayerGetColorIndex(lp_playerNum, false)))) + StringToText("\">") + PlayerName(lp_playerNum) + StringToText("</c>");
Then whenever you want to use that name anywhere with the appropriate color, just use gv_playerName[PlayerNumber] inside the text.
This what you're looking for? I don't understand anything... Not even the other answer's intentions...
Then...
