I need to have a region hidden on the map even if you are standing right next to it, it would only be revealed if you went in the region. The other requirement is that when you enter the region you have to be about to see outside of the region. This means that just using LOS blockers will not work.
Essentially I guess you could say that I need the high ground effect that cliffs have, just not on a cliff.
I have come up with a few ideas, but i am somewhat new to the editor and don't know all of what it can do.
I will put my ideas in order of preference.
1-Create a region on the map that is ALWAYS hidden by fog of war UNLESS you are in that region. This would be an amazing solution since it would not involve placing any LOS doodads, it would all just be reliant on the region and trigger. But as far as I can tell, the editor is not capable of 'hiding' parts of the map with fog of war, only 'revealing' them.
2-Assign a vision height requirement to a region, I am not sure how to say this one. But basically, have a region that requires a certain vision height in order to see inside of it. Then we could just have another trigger assigned to the same region that would increase the unit's vision height(but decrease it when you leave the region) Another way this might be accomplished is if we could have a trigger 'fill' or 'surround' a region with LOS blockers while at the same time increasing the vision height for units in the region.
3-Surround the area with invisible LOS blockers and have a trigger set to the region that would increase a unit's vision height to see over the blockers.
4-Again, surround the region with LOS blockers and then disable the 'Use Line Of Sight' flag for that unit while in that region.
Obviously I would love to just be able to do the first option since it is by far the simplest, but if I cannot do that, I would love to be able to do ANY of these.
If the first and second options are NOT possible then I would request that it be made available in the editor as a feature.

I'm not sure about the ability to do those either. How about surrounding the area in LOS blockers, then revealing the area surrounding the primary area.
You can give units footprints which block LOS. So when the unit enter's the specified region you can replace those units with others that don't block LOS.

But somewhere in there have a validator that checks for same heigh level. So it would reveal higher than LOS but lower than other cliffs around there if there are.
