The goal here is to use a sound I imported to an SC2mod in a transmission as part of a custom map.
I import the sound in the mod and create a sound for it in the data editor.
The mod is added to the map's dependencies at the top, check. I add heroes from the mod to the map. Now I set up the transmission. The sound from the mod appears in the menu, and when I test it I can hear the sound I imported.
Then, when I test the map, the unit's portrait appears for a microsecond and disappears without playing the sound!
To double-check that the problem isn't something wrong with the way I wrote the trigger, I subbed in a sound I imported to the map itself (another copy of the same sound). That works in the transmission, plays just like normal.
Is this a known bug? Do you have to import sounds to a map and not a mod to use them in transmissions? What gives?
