Alrgith all you smart people out there i need some help...
i have a third person shooter not a very big one yet but ive ran into a problem since my map is long in one way it causes alot of lag when i look that direction in the map but i saw vector and how they had like a fog that folowed the character around and reduced the lag so i was wondering how to do that...
ive changed everything possible in the camera like farclip fog start ect ive even tried to shink my sky box to folow me around to no avail so if you guys could click on my name get the tps game ive got and try and help me solve the lag problem that would be awsem...
p.s i also need help on why my flashlight and the names of all my ammo and health pretty much all the texts are coming up with a weird name thanks guys :D
Are you sure the camera object property farclip is getting actually getting changed? Use the action apply camera object property, then choose farclip as the property and set the value to around 50-75. This will greatly reduce any lag but will make the sky box invisible, this can be solved by having the actual skybox model follow the unit around.
well lower graphics works but if my computer cant play on lowest settings with no lag at all there isnt much chance for it because i want it to be somewhat smooth...
also i was reading some were else there are camera children like parent children or something like that and i need to make sure i change the right camera what does this mean and also how do i figure out which one im using and change it to change the certain one?@SouLCarveRR: Go

Umm. TPS will never be playable online over bnet.
Try running your game on a lower video setting
Try uploading it and testing it....

He already said he lowerd the far clip, and has the dynamic skybox that moves around with the unit.
My goal was for him to test it on lower grafic settings and see if it still lags.

No idea .... cameras are cameras ..... i dont think thier are sub-level cameras....
