Is DT less/more efficient and capacious from GV? ( i found that DT can crash SC2 with 50k values (not sure about number))
Is reading DT stored variable is equal to reading GV? (speed wise)(question actually is: Is DT searching for address or actually just access it?)
for all above, is difference big enough to bother about choosing one over another
2.
When defining custom action you can specify "Event Response For" any details how this works/ what it does?
3.
Bonus q. TextFromString vs typed Text in triggers? my main concern is about triggers limit. Since texts use "StringExternal" their contents are not counted towards triggers limit?

Data tables are way slower than variables.
Depending on the use case it can make sense to choose global variables for speed.
Only use data tables if you require the dynamics it allows like storing text tag refereces (= integers) with the unit's tag as a key or if you have huge amounts of data that you need to save like my whole dungeon levels.

Q2 If you want to implement a custom trigger, use the aaction generictriggerevent("bob") and the trigger event genericEvent("bob") to listen to it.
