In a Demon's Souls you could leave a message for other players to see. I want to make a map that does a similar thing. So if player 1 in game room A leaves a message saying use range attacks on next enemy. So player 1 in game room B plays maybe a few hours later after game room A was ended. I want game room B to be able to see game room A's message. This will be helpful since this map will be slightly unforgiving and any help would be useful. I don't want to give them everything.
The only time in Demon's Souls that the messages failed me is when nobody put them down. So I'm hoping to make a random chance for a message to show up.
Between game instances?
In that case, you'll need to use banks. But I'm not sure how workable this is due to the potential number of uploaded chat strings if your map proves popular: might be messy and nonsensical.
I dont know if such an option exists that you can store something on battlenet.
Maybe you can fake it. You store the message local with a bank. In every game you compare what every player stores local and save lets say 10 messages per room per player. It only works, if people play together in one room, so that you can exchange their messagepools.

So if it's 4 players there would be 40 messages scattered? I thought it would work because of Nexus Word Wars and the online ranking it had. Well hopefully I can find a way to fake it easily.
If I understand what that is saying it sounds like I was thinking of something slightly similar. It sounds like he has each player updating each other's rankings. I was thinking of making each player giving some messages to fill the whole map, well not fill but make it so that it's not always dull.
It wouldn't work using Nexus War's System. If all the players are different, then no it won't work because there wont be a bank to base it off of. There would always have to be someone in the game from the previous game for that message to show.
