Sorry for being a week late here. This week's theme is Terror from the Deep. Give me your best sea monsters, massive whirlpools, or what have you! Free idea since the Mac editor won't open: a floating Protoss base being attacked by a leviathan out of the ocean.
Pretty cool! For a very simplist terrain, it works great, you get the underwater feeling to it. I'll suggest few things, they might not fit all, but it could improve the terrain.
You could add more animals:
You could add more crater or terrain effects, environment:
You could add more grass/plants:
You could add more rocks and sea shells:
You could even create some rift with tilted ramps:
I remember also an underwater effect that is applied on the ground that does some weird light effect like in a pool... I think it's done with the water or something... it's not a doodad. I can't remember, but that would greatly benefit the terrain. Like this terrain back from an old wte
Weekly Terraining Exercise #272

Cool theme :P

Hey. I have made underwater mission 2016 and DeltronLive has made video of it:
In general it is quite challenging to get the underwater theme right with water height and lighting.
On video I have used Xel'Naga Caverns lightning. I believe texture is some desert texture.
On screenshots I used Haven tileset and lighting. Water is "Default" height is 14.00.
Doodads: Rock, Rock Large, Purifier Foliage Clumps
Textures: Haven Dirt with foliage 2.00
Units that have tentacles work fine in water since their animation looks bit like swiming.

Sup! I did this one. Although, no monster, just a protoss underwater old city.
Pretty happy with the result.

Final result.

Sorry for another late bump, but I had an idea for this one and just couldn't pass it up.
Is that in sc2 or wc3 or imported wc3 models in sc2? But it looks cool. Feel like the kind of in-game cutscene you would get from wc3.
