This week's WTE will have a simple new theme: "Nightfall". As a bit more of an 'artsy' take, you can terrain anything that would fall under that theme; whether it be the last stand of the Protoss against the Hybrid or a simple Mar Sara village getting quieter as midnight (and perhaps something more...?) comes around.
I really like what you did with slow camera movement, getting the whole huge forest feeling... I don't know, it's really nice. I also like the music that you picked. What is it?
Found an old terrain, cleaned it up, I'd say it looks good.
Bonus unrelated picture because I accidentally added it while mechanically adding the screenies and didn't know how to remove it.
Heh, thanks tel, I think my aim when I was making that terrain was to make it look good, but still have it playable (not too much mess/distraction), and not laggy (lots of details tent to slowly melt everyones computers).
Here's a map I've been playing with to get used to the new swamp tilesets. :) It's a WIP. The idea is a volcanic-type planet shrouded in a permanent night, but those blue crystals on the right side are causing a swamp to enroach. (Not the most original of ideas, I know!)
I've had some fun trying out textures... for example, I've found the Barnacles texture is fun if you use a .50 brush and dot it across the landscape like rocks! I'm having some trouble with the left/volcanic side, though. I decided half-way through that the map should be playable, which zonked my original plans, so... any suggestions for interesting things that would fit into a small action/adventure type map?
Weekly Terraining Exercise #125
Hello again folks!
Good luck, and have fun!
The Global Information/Idea thread for Terraining Exercises can be found here:

I pulled a Brood this week and recorded a video flythrough.
It's dark ...that counts, right?
Holy shhhh... woah.
I guess this other WTE entry could fit in? (If slightly less dark...)

Working on projects:

That's a sexy stargate.
Also liking your run down outposts. Clean, simple and effective.

Ahhh, a Stargate! I thought it was little slices of pizza driving on a road around a lake seen from above.
Unmm... yeah, I didn't see it that way. Pretty imaginative eh.
Damn this is soo good. I like such music. Do you have any other groups / musicians playing such rare and beautiful intruments?

Bahahahaha :') Now to do a closeup of the pizzas with wheels and atlas boosters, xD
Hello.
Might I delight you with a screenshot of Stormwind at night? ^_^
