Another late upload, but hopefully the last one for now! This week's theme is going to be something I feel we haven't seen in a bit, namely: "Cold Peaks". It's relatively simple: I want you guys to make a terrain that shows off cold mountain tops full of snow, whether they be traversable or not. Think along the lines of the Kaldir campaign missions in Heart of the Swarm, but even colder.
Set those blizzard to full and freeze all the things! Good luck, and have fun!
Here's what I came up with a lovely frozen wasteland where a mad scientist can work without disturbances. Also lighting in this editor sucks to work with but it's gratifying once you are happy with the outcome.
As a comment to both of you: great terrains, but I would've liked to see some more stuff. In Marc's terrain there's simply a lack of... things on the mountain peak - the mountain with all the glacier and ice spike protrusions are great, but there's a whole walkway that could be filled up but rather now simply just looks flat. In SirDeeds' terrain I think the fog and lightning are just ever so slighty over the top; there seems to be some stuff (buildings) in the background, but it's just a little bit too hard to make out what is going on in the terrain.

Weekly Terraining Exercise #162
Hey folks!
Another late upload, but hopefully the last one for now! This week's theme is going to be something I feel we haven't seen in a bit, namely: "Cold Peaks". I need to wake up in the morning, so here is my starting layout. I don't know the rules of these exercises but I will try and finish it off tomorrow!

As long as you stick to the theme, there are no rules, that's the fun of it! :)
Looks promising! This is exactly the kind of scenario I had in mind. Looking forward to seeing the completed terrain...

Really, this is what I had in mind xD.

Ty :)
I will upload the map for people to have a look. It requires HoTS :)
I really got to make a terrain gallery soon, lol.

Damn, amazing work so far! Those mountains are looking pretty sweet. :D
