I'm still on my spree of going through ideas from the WTE Global information/ideas thread, and this week we're going to follow Cacho56's idea of "StarCraft to Scale". This is again a very open theme: the idea is that you create any sort of terrain in which scale plays a big role. For example, you could create a big Terran city that has its citizens and buildings realistically scaled, thus looking huge and mighty from the camera's perspective. Or you could pitch a Zealot against an Ultralisk in one on one combat and paint a scene of David & Goliath. It's up to you, as long as size or height plays a big role in whatever you create.
Visually, the details, it looks awesome. But when I look at that, I have no reference of what is where in the space. There are just a bunch of units flying in all pitch roll angle with massive visual effects and very thick depth of field.
You think more scale visual reference could be nice? Like maybe see the ground more or any kind of fix up/down?
Weekly Terraining Exercise #215
Hey hey folks!
I'm still on my spree of going through ideas from the WTE Global information/ideas thread, and this week we're going to follow Cacho56's idea of "StarCraft to Scale". As always, good luck & have fun!
