So I've run into a ground texture problem. Haven't been able to find a similar problem in the forums.
By simply creating a new map, saving the map and re-open it in the Galaxy Editor the ground textures becomes stretched. This happens on two PC's with the same version of Galaxy Editor. You can see an example below:
Do you have an ATI card? Might be worth trying to set the Catalyst Control Center settings to factory default or uninstall it entirely. I've heard of some weird issues with the CCC lately.
Have you tried repaint the texture ? Or re-shape the terrain ? Do others open your map and play it sees strechted texture ingames ? (hint: upload that map here)
I've just reinstalled new drivers. Same problem. Could be the HD5400 which, as far as I know, is not directly supported with SC2. Though, an old map we haven't edited works fine. It's weird.
Haven't changed anything. Problem still occur on even new created maps with no customization at all.
I'll test the map when I get home to my own PC with a better graphics card. But still weird though since older maps works fine. I'll report back when I've tested it at home.
When copy/pasting this terrain onto a new map it looks like this:
This happens on different computers. It seems that the original computer where the map was made f*ck up every new map that I make. I'm re-downloading StarCraft 2 as we speak. I'll see if the Galaxy Editor still behaves like s*it after a reinstall.

If your map is screwed up even when opened on another computer, then the source of the problem is definitely your map (probably not the editor, unless you have some shitty hard drive with missing files). I had an issue with the size of my map, 64*256 doesn't let you place roads everywhere on the map and I spent 2 days to finally figure what it was (maps must be square or roads will not work 100%). My best guess is to edit/set the default height of your map: if you try to put 0 as default, and create some lower cliffs, I'm not sure it will work fine. The default value (which is 8) is fine. I can't think of anything else that would cause those rough cliffs on the side when pasted (like in the 2nd screenshot). I'd really try to play with heights if I were you. Try absolutely everything with the Terrain tools and if anything changes, tell us.
What happens if you just try to paint textures? Or if you open the Blizzard campaign maps? And do these errors also occur in-game on maps that you didn't make?

Does anyone know why this is?
Thank you.
Looks like a good time to re-install to me. Never seen this before. Is the terrain stretched in-game too?

Yes, stretched in-game too. Happens on two PC's with the same version. Just suddenly happened - worked fine earlier.

Maybe go into the data editor and see if the texture is stretched as well. If it is, then it's something to do with the data editor I would assume.

you could go to the terrain texture data object your map is set to use..... delete it(if it has been customized) should reset to the default value

My map is bugged. It now looks like this:
