Seriously though this thing takes up most of a 256 x 256 map lol. That interior screenshot I gave was like 5% of the whole ship, and still quite large.
Dunno, worked on it for an hour or two last night, and had worked on it quite a lot several months ago. That said, were I to release it, I'd want to polish up the new stuff. I took a look at the inside after I did all that and I realized I'd made the mistake of using doodads which would cut through the inside and make it all hideous ;x
Mini as in from the viewpoint of the pictures, it certainly looks like it takes up the max SQUARE space, while a battlecruiser is longer than it is wide.
Ok well this is my first WTE and very possibly my last. Took me 2 hours which is far mroe then I like to spend on 1 thing in the editor at once. The idea came from Nebuli2. No where near as clean cut as his and I'm still working on it but When I finish it will be epic.
There is no way that you will leave us. You came here and posted an awesome space ship, you certainly do some even more awesome things on different subject! Keep working! Anyway, if you want to "stop", at less keep paying attention to what is done here ;) Maybe one time you'll find something interesting... =)
Looking good! Though, you should try to angle some parts differently. A lot of it looks a bit boxy. For example, you could make the front taper towards the end, and perhaps angle the wings a little bit back.
I always wanted to see what's inside Krait ship from Elite.
Now I got supersecret drawings what I'd like to share with everybody.
There are four bays lighted with there own colors for easy navigation:
- Bridge (white)
- Left cargo with generators for weapons (green)
- Right cargo with generators for weapons (yellow)
- Sleeping bay with four sleeping tubes and a reactor under it what feeds engines (Red)
- Corridor (blue)
I don't know how to show these things on screenshots because shots from Editor catch so little... I guess it has to be implemented an FPS camera to walk inside Krait ship :)
Anyway here's a look from outside and a map without cameras =)
Update:
Made a decision to hide the roof for screenshots :)

Yeah, did some more work on it now. It's still kinda missing a front though :\

It's true. Almost all of my things I've made that are made of smaller doodads involve large amounts of space platform doodads ;)
@Nebuli2: Go
I seriously hope you release that. It's epic... How long did that take?

PS, It's also got a small FPS map in it ;)
@Nebuli2: Go
Yea I had figured thats what it was for... I hope you release it fixed or not.

I just buffed up the brightness of my monitor and realized how large is your... thing O_O
Incredible!

The shape is good but the colors are off for a lot of part. The middle, for one, looks far too blue.
Redid a bunch of the front half and took a screenshot of it next to a normal sized BC :)
@Nebuli2: Go
Yea I may end up redoing a lot if it cause I too think its a bit blocky.
Your new version looks nice.
Woah Nebuli, your ship looks like it's from a cinematic! In fact, that sounds like a good idea to use it for a cinematic

As it were, I had the same idea lol.

The image of the video before you press play looks like vortigaunts.
WIP
1) Damaged Nuclear Fusion reactor in ship
2) Above, molten pipe (took forever to tint correctly), darker, lighting added
Edit, damnit, why doesn't the enter key work on mapster
A little colour correction:
Lol. Looks like 8bit colors.
Awesome BC you got there... now make it moves ;) Hahaha
