This week's theme of "Double Take" is going to be something you guys should like. The idea is that you make two terrains that in some how are connected to each other, yet opposite. For example, you could create a city both before and after a Zerg invasion - or a lush forest both in the summer and in the winter. Whatever you want goes, as long as the two terrains have something to do with each other.
That one was similar, yes, but it referred specifically to chronological change, iirc. It was even called 'before and after', I think. This doesn't need to be that. Something like "the same terrain perceived by a Protoss and by a Zerg" or such would be ok.
I will admit, I was a bit lazy with the concept, I initially had the idea of making 2 land masses that were sort of creatures but then I saw the volcanic mountain things as giant claw hands and took away with that little tidbit and it turned into this, a fire creature elemental in a snowy land where it does not belong.
Edit: maybe if I am up to it or anyone else, an ice elemental in a firey landscape
That looks crazy! It really feels like a time freeze in a very action packed moment and its very impressive. You got lighting, background, camera field of view, pitch and roll in mass... I don't know what to say, maybe its hard to determine what is that red glowing thing in the back that has a volcano head haha But man is he f..ing cool :D Awesome.
Weekly Terraining Exercise #206
Hey folks!
Hope to see some participation this week!

@Mozared:
Ummm, should give it a try for sure...but this has been done in the past at some point right? Like shown here in the WTE video I made a while ago.

Yup. I should probably make that an official rule: if there's 0 or 1 submissions in a WTE and there's no new one up on monday, consider it extended.
Punishing you kids for not turning in homework?!
