I am making a TD and i've a small problem with making the creep roads. I do not want to use the built-in roads, but simply draw roads by using a different texture (like you did in wc3).
However, it seems impossible to get the roads 100% straight. Is there a way to lock the mouse so it only moves horisontally/vertically or what do you suggest i do?
Also i noticed that no textures seem to unbuildable by default. Is there a way to change this or do i have to use doodads/regions?
Use the camera editor to make sure your camera angle is exact, then hold the mouse button while hitting an arrow key on the keyboard to scroll the map. Zoom in if it jumps too far.
Unless someone knows something I don't about brush constraints. :P
Hi Sonnert, if you're looking to texture terrain in a straight path, I would suggest placing the "road area" on a different cliff level than the surround terrain. Once you do that, just use the bucket tool and fill, then remove the cliffs.
This generally only works well for longer roads in cardinal directions, so your diagonal roads and corners are going to be.. well.. a little squiffy—this is the only way I've found other than DeProgrammer's. Hope this helps.

Use pathing to make an area unbuildable.
Thank you for the answers.
