As I'm starting to wonder how many puns I can get out of the word 'Doodad', I'll provide you guys with the theme for this week's WTE: "Doo dad again". As per a suggestion by Scbroodsc2, the idea of this week's theme is to get creative with doodads. The assignment is to create anything (from a robot to an awesome building) by using primarily doodads, as we've done before in this particular WTE. Since then, Blizzard has added the pitch roll option to our arsenal and as such I expect these new contributions to be at least twice as awesome as the old ones.
Other than the occasional detail of a pipe floating in 2 spots I like this one. My only arguments would be that the glare seems a bit too high and the water is a bit too dark (reflections can sometimes help you here if the lighting is just right seeing as water does not take Omni lights)
I really like that...it looks great and it's funny. You got a nice idea there. Although, I didn't even see the water at first...it's onl y after reading joecab's comment that I saw there was water xD And I agree with him that the lightning seems a bit to bright? It's like if there was super sunrays going straight on the pipes. I feel like a much darker environment with spotlights here and there to illuminate everything would be better. This kind of place is generally underground or in hidden place where sun doesn't come in.
Sidenote: if there is water on the ground, it means there is a leak sooo... with the X coordance you can find about where is the leak and then just look around. These guys are stupid :P
Howdy! While this structure isn't fully constructed, the front side is pretty much done (behind the side you're looking at is nothing). I'll post the images I took of my progress so far.

Exacly. Instead of searching cool doodads to fit what you want, you can find even more awesome doodads, and tilt them the way you want to get what you want even more.

Here is a protoss building, it is simple but I was bored and didn't have much time so I just made this, I might make something else later.
I know I used an Obelisk but I wanted something there and I think it looks good so I just used it.
I just saw that the protoss summoning is way off center, I gotta pay more attention, anyways no need to comment on that. ;)

Even though it is a single structure, it is a nice looking protoss structure :) (the center light is eeeeeeeever so slightly off center tho)

i believe Mozared is talking about the functionality that lets you tilt doodads directly
