Sup all! I just made a video to show most of the actual tools of the DTE we are using to create the terrains for StarParty. We eventually want to make it usable by public to create their own terrains and share them. And if they are good enough we could add them as a minigame terrain ;)
It's not yet out to public, but if you want to give it a try, just ask me we could find a moment where we could meet. Note that its not that fluid while on battle.net... it stutters alot cause of latency :S
What you said sounds a little bit incorrect, but overall you said you have some time tomorrow. Well, I'll try to connect on battle.net. Otherwise you have me in your skype and when I'm connected to skype it means I'm there, 90% of the time.
Despite latency it looks pretty solid to me. A friend of mine had started something like this but had never gone nearly as far in-depth and I don't believe he ever truly finished it.
ok :P Yeah, Chirus, one of the dev for SP made most of it. From what he made I was able to develop alot my trigger understanding and was able to push what he made further and add stuff to it. Alone, I would have never been able to do most of the core system of the triggers in both the DTE and the StarParty main map. I'm very proud of what I added to the DTE. Things like tinting, pitch roll, the hide cells, the point, thats all me based on what Chirus made.
And I really want to see if people would like to make their own terrains and boards, cause actually, this IS possible. Having up to 6 people working on the same terrain at the same time is something pretty unique. And saving in a bank file to allow loading terrain dynamicly instead of having it loading during loadscreen of the map is a big deal. You could have a campaign map where the player moves from Point A to point B do something, and the terrain where he is coming from changes. You could freak out players in labyrinth with changing walls.
With this editor, you could simply add the action definition to load the terrain to your brand new map and load the string of any of your terrain and let the magic happend. It's a pretty interesting tool when you think about it.

Lolz... Btw I take care of how I write so you could use google translation and have a pretty good translation. Except for the last part it seems like it did not detect the negative "ne" "plus" which means with the whole sentence "But we are only 2 to still work on the map"
