Does anybody remember last week's WTE, by any chance? I sure don't. Well, either way, it's monday, which is the day we usually put up a new WTE, I believe. However, since there's no apparent theme, this week's WTE theme is "A Mystery". What does this mean, you ask? I have no idea! I suppose you make a terrain that is also in some way a mystery, however you interpret that. Pretty strange, no?
I have no idea what will come of this, but good luck & have fun!
I went with the "strange" and "mysterious"... Whats more mysterious than a strange glowing stone door in the middle of a void of blackness and nothingness...
That's pretty interesting.... very dark and very mysterious. Well done, simple and efficient. Just though... imagine if you pitch roll a few of them so there is no "up and down, left and right"? Not like messy, but organised without point of reference. And to force even more that effect you could roll the camera a little too. That'd be sick.
Edit: Here is my try. What is the most mysterious thing in sc2? Well, probably the Xel'Naga. So, why not digging and finding a long-time-lost-wonder? What could this reveal...
I really like this. Is there any way to make the transition from the buried artifact to the stone have more transition? Right not it's pretty harsh—I think you could add some dust or rocks to really flesh it out.
I though about a splat that would apply on it... without success. I even tinted it slightly sand color to fix that problem. Another problem is the roughtness of the terrain, instead of scaling everything down I should scale everything up so the terrain would be more fluid and smooth. I don't know what could make the transition more estheticly correct. Maybe using tinted tilted sand doodads such as this... but i wanted to keep it simple... But yeah there are some possibilities of improvement.
Hiiiiiiiiiii haaaaaaaaa!!!! I'm back in town Bi"""es!!
Sorry, I don't have a map to present, as I don't have time like normally, but I'm searching in previous WTE to find ideas to a melee map. A chance that you made this thread, Moz, or else I'll be on a blank page.
Keep going your good work guys, I don't log frequently, but I like to take a look of your pictures.

Wow, that looks great! Very nice with the xelnaga temple, is that a single piece, or did you construct it from multiple doodads?

Love the colors here, War.
A shot from my upcoming single player campaign. Is it cheating if I've been working on this for a week? Who cares, it's fun to look at.
