Hope you're all well - just a quickie regarding pitch and roll. I say a quickie, because I can't for the life of me figure out the commands to be able to alter a unit / doodads pitch and roll! I checked Mozared's WTE called 'Pitch and Roll' whereby he stated the button combination necessary, but this doesn't work for me, and I've been trawling through the command list trying to find the relevant one to associate buttons with it, but alas, to no fruition.
Anyone either have the name of the command line please, or any advice on how to edit the pitch and roll of the doodads without using the buttons?
You need to drag your mouse cursor in the direction that you want to adjust the pitch and roll while holding the keys. I think Ctrl+Alt is for Roll and Ctrl+Shift is for Pitch (could be the other way around, can't remember). So basically if you want to roll over a doodad to the right, hold Ctrl+Alt and then drag your mouse to the right of camera.
If you can't use the key shortcut for whatever reason, just bring up the Properties window of the doodad. You'll see the usual Position, Rotation and Scale properties. 270 degs is the default value and leaves the doodad at a neutral position. Simply set the Pitch and/or Roll values (anywhere from 0 to 360 deg) to get the rotation that you want.
By the way, you can't alter the pitch or roll of a unit without adding SiteOps to it.
1) Pitch rolling only works with placed doodads. You can't select a doodad for placement, then roll it and then place it. You place a doodad, select it, and then use your hotkeys.
2) Play around with which shift/control keys you use - on the left or right side of your keyboard. The pitch rolling only seems to work with modifiers on one side, I believe right.
Alrighty, so I've placed the doodad and the button functions don't work at all :/ Not only that, when I select the properties of the doodad, it still doesn't give me the option to alter the pitch and roll as per @sgtnoobkilla's advice.
This isn't going to be dependency related etc. at all is it?
Pitch and roll was added for WoL as well so this is definitely a patch issue, not dependency. It works on maps saved on older versions of the editor as well.
So what happens if you guys try to go online on battle.net? There must be SOME kind of update prompt, somewhere - I doubt the game would allow you to just log in with an outdated client.
Unless you're using a pirated version of StarCraft 2, anyway.
When loading up the game, it comes up saying that the game is up to date, absolutely fine. Although when loading up the editor, it's still only reading 2.0.8. Very occasionally it will have the spinning green circle when playing, but that's very intermittent. Full game, battle.net account and everything. Any ideas?
Update - fixed the issue by running : C:\Program Files (x86)\StarCraft II\Support\PrePopulateCache which prompted the re-download of the latest patch. Fixed!

Much appreciated amigos!

Two things:

Does any of this solve your problem?
Oh wow, didn't even realize there were hotkeys for this! This will help greatly.

It shouldn't be. Does it work in other/new maps? Are you sure you have the latest version of the editor?

I'll have to double check - it doesn't prompt any updates etc. however.

Thanks for the info bud, I'll get back to you guys :)

Ok guys, have had a check on my editor, and its version is listed as 2.0.8, with no updates available via the blizzard downloader... Any suggestions?
@madlibrarian: Go
Yup, update your editor :P
I don't know what went wrong for you, but I'm on version 2.0.11 (26825). Try running the game and going on battle.net.

Sorry to bring this up again Moza, but I can't get the editor to update?
Open the SC2 game and it should do all the updating.

Try playing a game and see if you get disconnected
Alternatively, run the repair tool. Reinstall if that doesn't work. Is your editor ever prompting you to log in to battle.net to confirm your account?
@ScrinKing: Go
Negative on the disconnect front.

Was hoping you wouldn't say this! - takes me a month to download anything haha... oh dear. Time for some fun! Thanks all - will keep updated
