Hey guys! I've not posted in weeeeeks. But I'm always checking the WTE ;) It's all really interesting. I can assure you all, we've gained ALOT of experience in terraining since the beginning of this. The terrain we can see nowadays are much MUCH better than 4 years ago, and no need to use HotS doodads at all.

I said that I am now working on StarParty with themusic, Chirus and Payne...and maybe you would like to have a little glimpse of one thing coming up soon? So StarParty is not only a minigame map... it will also contain an in-game editor which will allow players to create their own terrain and boards. I've made 2 new terrains for the minigame "Glimpse Count" in StarParty. There will be the old zerg-ish terrain, this new terrain I'm showing now and a snow one but Moz said no snow so no snow. :P

All these doodads are loaded in-game dynamicly. Which means, you place them, save the terrain (which creates a long string) and use that string in the triggers to load your terrain.

So far, we can create board, place doodads and place "hide cells" units which allows to hide dinamicly the terrain cells if you need to create holes in the ground or whatever. We plan on adding dynamic pathing, dynamic ground textures, maybe a camera system to allow short cinematic, and few other stuff.

We have not talked much about it, but we'll have to start spreading some interest about it. Blizzard's watching us...waiting for the update of the main map. New board, new music, new images, tons of bug fixes and optimisation, and so on. Although no new minigame "yet".

I think it happens to all of us, lot of work and not that much to play around with the editor this days. I been posting all maps pics maybe next week it will be better.

It's just trees flattened and with lower heigh than 0 so only the leaves are visible.

Here I made a slight lighting difference from killa's terrain. 2-3 differences such as skybox and few leaves on the rocks.
