Also @joecab what did you use there? are those stretched models of some sort? I'd guess with the return of HDR in-editor that they're stretched out spheres (I started experimenting with that before HDR viewing in editor was disabled), but it could be anything. ..
It is Zuevan Psi arc stretched and thin lightning as well as space dock equipment variation 7 stretched with increased HDR for the main beam and the Dock equipment 7 again for the side recoil lights coming out of the main batteries also with increased HDR. When I saw that the HDR worked again I was quite happy :) and here is a bit of a behind the scenes shot if anyone is curious.
Edit: to avoid posting too much, I will answer the question Posted below by ScrinKing here:
I was thinking that there could be a space battle between battle cruisers, the one closest to the camera would be of the defending party and the ones scattered about the one dodging the carnage and of course the one that is in the process of getting OWNED would be of the attacking party. Also if you look at protoss shields one of them is curved which went quite well with the shape of the satellite.
Well, for it to sound like abandoned, you'd have to mess with it's texture mapping and stuff. Like, adding some more rust, some burnt stains, marks that it, indeed was abandoned, though recently. Also, turn off the lights that make it sound like the buildings are occupied.
I took Scbroodsc2's challenge to make a video. Unfortunately I do not have video editing software, so I will post the map below and a few images as well. He may post a video later, I PMed him the map file. Enjoy and tell me what you think! :) The pictures I posted are just a little preview, staying away from the... surprise... ;)
Set shaders to high if viewing, may have to turn volume up to hear music (keep speed on normal). The video is approximately 45 seconds.
Edit: improved the video a little bit making it obvious when the video stops, and got rid of the wind in the back ground.
Edit2: cleaned up one of the walls, corrected a door, added molding to two noticeable spots, and made the second to last camera pan slightly smoother.
Edit 3: now posted below in a video recorded by Scbroodsc2!!
Pretty cool, nice fluid camera movements. Very light map so there won't be an fps problem. I think some of the transitions timing are too short. I mean, you show up a room and rapidly change to black... You could show slightly longer to leave the time for the viewer to see the room. This is mostly for one specefic transition. Anyway, I'll see what I can do with that. ;)
Edit: I've decided to change nothing. In max graphics I ended up with around 15-20fps while capturing the video. So, it's "fluid" but, you can see a slight lag. I'm uploading the video right now.
Thanks so much man! :D I noticed a slight lag with the music being very slightly off at the end, but I'm still happy with it :) It is quite difficult to properly synch music with the video haha.
I normally put the music with another program than the editor cause when I'm making cinematics, I often have some captures from different map tilesets. So I synch everything on video editing program where I could even add transitions and other stuff. No matter how much it lags, it will be all timed with the timeline on the video editing, not on the speed you recorded.
yooooooo what did you use to make the central energy orb or whatever it is?

@joecab: Go Hehe, the cruisers were defending it! XP Also, how'd you curve the shields :O
EDIT: HDR :OOOOOOO
Even minor flipping can improve a scene quite alot.

PS: I did it! I made an awful zerus map!

New joke on the block, on this one.
How did those buildings got flipped and sunk in the pond? A noob commander forced the land order.
@DeltaCadimus: Go
But did he even lift?

I was thingking along the lines of abandoned + monsoon. Updated version coming up in about... 18 hours?

Very nice terrain and idea! The space station looks amazing and so realistic, like in a movie. I could recognize those Zurvan lightnings.
@Telthalion: Go
Still don't like the idea nm how good the terrain is, the lava and the snow do not fit : /
Came up with an idea (Tunguska and Yakutsk):
using pitch

Here's a small factory. It's actually a part of a larger map I'm in the process of creating, which is why you'll notice units in the bottom right.

Woah, that looks cool!
It's really, well, amazing!
Very well done job!

Haha, were you trying to do a haiku? Because you used 4 syllables, 7, then 4; a haiku is 5-7-5. Nice try!

Very well done job is 5 syllables :3 (ve-ry well done job), and I'm not sure what I was thinking with line 1 :3

Oop, you're right on that (my bad).

Wow, that was pretty cool!

You should do more terrain like this Haha!
