This week there's time for a very artsy style WTE! Your objective is to "Pick A Colour" and then build your terrain around that colour scheme. Say you pick 'blue', you then have to proceed to make some kind of 'blue' looking scene. This doesn't mean you absolutely cannot use any different colours, as long as the overall scheme of your scene adheres to the main colour you've chosen.
I know it is yet another one directional terrain, but I couldn't resist this one :) Hope it gives people some interesting ideas.

And since I know wargirl will be asking,
I started off with an image on the internet as inspiration, i initially planned on having a blue tint to the picture so that blue would be my color. I then re-created the closest most prominent buildings in detail, using electrical conduit doodads for the top, separating windows with ground props, and then adding in the windows while raising the terrain to make the rooftop itself. Once I had a reference point, i then chose a camera angle close to the angle of the picture, and i constantly check back on this camera that I made to look at the image before me, constantly shifting it around to get the best angle. I then moved onto the second closest building and replicated it close to the image. I then started adding buildings to the distance. Once I had that done, I started making the spherical shape of the curve with one curve of buildings.
Once I had the curve I copied and pasted the buildings until i had the long line of buildings in a curve, then removed and added buildings and for the rest started giving random values and changing variations to get rid of the repeating buildings to make it look like a real city. I then added details like the rocks seen in the top right being the ripped up base of the city. I then added a massive doodad and increased it's HDR to 100 to make the really bright sun in the distance, and added very long bridge doodads to make the floor of the city, tilting and curving the doodads in line with the city. Once I had everything structural down, I then started fooling around with lighting, I added some sunlight doodads after seeing that the glare did not make it look bright enough, and on the fly decided that making everything intense colors would fit the weekly terraining exercize better.
I then took a couple more shots, and looked at the images to see if anything was blatantly wrong out could be improved real fast, I saw that the sunlight doodads were a bit too bright, and that a black fog I had added to the bottom did not add much to the image so I removed the fog and dimmed the sunlight doodads, fooled around with the lighting a bit more, added some more buildings to the background so that the city was more defined, and took the last image.

With a few tall skinny plants that would make a pretty decent underwater scene.
