I was trying to publish a two player version of Eye of the Storm made by the Mass Recall team. The, it ocurred me, does the GNU GPLv3 allows me to do so? I've read it a few times, and it seems that yes, I can, but if I'm wrong, I'll cease work on it.
Secondly, when I tried to publish it, I got the "Document dependency does not specify a blizzard file (mass recall file which I don't remember)" error. I've searched and it's not the first time this error has appeared, but I haven't got a clue how to fix it. Any clue?
As long as you give credits to the original team then you should be fine.
You're most likely getting that error because you are referencing local dependency files instead of ones on battle.net/the arcade. You'll have to switch them out for SC:MR dependencies published on battle.net (you may have to publish them yourself, as I think the only ones on battle.net are published by other people not affiliated with the SC:MR team, and so they may be outdated)
They may already be published, so you can use the already published ones on battle.net. Just be aware that according to sc2arcade.com it looks like these published dependencies are anywhere from 1-5 years old, so it might cause some bugs if you use them since they are likely older versions.
Hi there, you made my day by sharing those links. I am searching for them for so long but can't find it anywhere. It was not easy to find your post. And it is all because of my friend for whom I was searching reviews for https://www.topessaywriting.org/samples/federal-government on google search and I clicked on your post by mistake.
Hey there!

In reply to TheBeaver102:
So, I followed the path of dependencies. The map I wanted to publish complained about SCMRLocal.
SCMRLocal complained about SCMRmod.SCMRmod.
SCMRmod complained about SCMRassets.SCMod and SCMRcinematics.mod AND that the name was not available.
SCMRassets complains about the name being not available.
If the names are not available, does that mean they are published already?
They may already be published, so you can use the already published ones on battle.net. Just be aware that according to sc2arcade.com it looks like these published dependencies are anywhere from 1-5 years old, so it might cause some bugs if you use them since they are likely older versions.
Anyway, I tried uploading them, but they exceed the maximum file size, even using the "Smaller files" option, so, meh.
Edit:
https://sc2arcade.com/map/1/300035/versions
This file is bigger in size than the maximum size
