For a demo i'm making, when it starts, the controls dont work and the player's unit is supposed to walk to a point, crouch down, morph into another unit, stand up, and walk back to the starting point (at which time, the controls work). This will all work fine except for 2 things:
1. How do i tell him to crouch? I looked in "play animation" and "order unit" but didn't see anything. There IS a "stand" animation though (and a "stand up" too)
2. Is there any way to edit models in the sc2 mapmaker? I want to make a copy of the ghost model and take the gun off, and also make a model of just the gun
The final picture should be: whenthe ghost crouches down, he morphs into a ghost model without the gun and a model of just the gun spawns on the floor
I would recommend before you make too many plans about abilities to take a look at the models in the previewer and check what animations are available.

You do need to edit the model for that and there's no way to do it in the SC2 editor.
You need 3DS Max with the importer tool and some knowledge of modeling - or you try to get someone to make it.
if you're using Play Animation then you sometimes need to enable "looping" or "play forever" (not sure what it was called) or the animation won't show correctly (some animations seem to cancel right after starting so you don't see anything. Other animations are so short that you need it to loop).

Alright, I guess I'll do that I guess. Was hopin there would be an easier way. I think I'll be able to do that myself though (not positive)

That's fine but i need to know where an animation to crouch IS. I have yet to see one and have no idea how to do custom anmations

get 3dsmax and use the m3 exporter/importer
