This is stupid, I can't find anything that can get the actor of the turret. I'm going on the IRC.
Been working on it for like more than a week now myself
the best result I got was from (BUT STILL NOT WORKING)
"Send actor message to unit"
Set the message to TurretZ and Attachsetrotation (I cant find a way to set the rotation value myself)
but then set it to the unit u r using
And in my game (I created a custom turret and everything) The turret sets its angle to 270 and detaches from the tank (gory I know :P)
and it will just sit there x.x
Then if I try and set the message to AttachSetBearings to what I want the turret once again disconnects and dissapears into oblivion O:

Does it have to do with actor triggers or is it unit facing? o.o
How would I do this with say, a siege tank?

Try changing the unit's direction/rotation while it's in siege mode?
If you try putting a siege tank in siege mode on a map, and try to rotate it, the base stays still, yet the barrel rotates.

It's very easily done. You're thinking too complicated.
I tried to fraps my working mouselook turret, though it seems to be having none of it...

I have your map and tried localizing it but no dice, hence why I need another way to find that info :P
