The 'Rock (Giant)' cum suis have a texture that changes depending on the original tileset choses. I.e; if you place them in Xil, they're whitish, while in Mar Sara, they're brown. Are they actually white/showish for this tileset, or is there an easy way to make them so?
I'd love a good snow tileset, but the problem I've had with them so far is that there's absolutely no doodads that work well with them.
Ya, I notice if you are replacing your original texture set for the snowy set, the new snow texture can be compromised and looks really bad (maybe b/c its replacing 7 texture instead of the full 8?). A simple work around is just replace them individually.
I was wondering the same. I several models trying to find where that information is stored but to no avail.
When i was making Frozen Haven I noticed the Scorched Haven green minerals and vespene geysers had black rocks...I have no idea how to make em white
I tried everything to fix it. My conclusion is that the mesh compatible with the niflheim cliff material is missing. Using the Xil cliff instead of making a new one is an okay replacement but unlike the real niflheim cliff it ain't icy.
Nope. Wasn't that.
For a project I'm currently making I am using an ice tileset of my own, seeing that blizzard kinda shades its cliffs in a really WEIRD OBSCURE WAY that I don't know of, nor we have the tools to make it I am using niffelheim's cliffs. I figured out what was wrong with them and fixed them. Cause I'm that hardcore ;o
Anyway, it was all in the alpha masking for the cliffs, the mesh are mapped incorrectly so there's places that have texture where they should be clipped by an alpha mask, etc. Anyway by trial and error I managed to get an acceptable alpha mask for the cliffs. I've attached the working texture so you guys can use the original niffelheim's cliffs. It's not perfect but it will do.

That will change soon ;o
EDIT: excuse the low quality, I was in my laptop working on this, if someone can upload a better screenshot would be awesome, also updating the asset would be a great idea.

Your amazing, now we have a fully working snow tileset before hots is even released, but the problem remains that there are no doodads for it. Still, those cliffs are great and can be used for a lot more than just this tileset.
