I just thought of this, and I honestly don't know if some one else has come up with the idea already and asked, but I was wondering if there was a way to make a Zombie map. For example, Lets say that the only units Player A could use, was Terran Marines. Player B was the zombie team and had a Infested bio dome from the campaign (if this is possible, idk) but something simmilar, and could produce Infested Terran, Infested Terran kill Marines, and they would turn into A zombie, or infested Terran. IF this is possible, some one PLEASE tell me exactly how to do it with out a custom script or w/e. If not then a Straight no would be fine. Thanks
im working on a zombies with 8 players. they all spawn in a chamber and zerglings 'will' eventually spawn in the areas they have unlocked and attack. each round they zerglings get progressively stronger...its the job of the people to explore, open doors, and upgrade stuff.... but im stuck on tinkering with the collapsible menu.. :| and its extreme beta with only the map almost finished and basic scripts. .... and your idea is cooler :| like that flash map where you run around the city killing all the zombies before the virus spreads?

Your idea is pretty cool, I like it as well, I'd beta test when you got it out :P
No what I wanted to do was make a Resident Evil style map, and have it where every 5 minutes or so 10 "Zombies" would come at the "S.T.A.R.S" Members and it'd be like the map I posted where you can upgrade and etc, the only thing is like I don't know how to make it when the Zergs kill a marine, that marine would turn into a Infested Marine. Thats what My Idea is.
Event: Any Unit Dies
Condition: (Triggering Unit) == Marine
Local Variable: MarineLocation (type is Point)
Actions: Set Variable MarineLocation == Position of Unit (triggering unit)
Create 1 [Unit] at MarineLocation (where you specify the unit)
NOTE: I did not test this and the actual verbage in the editor may be different. But it should be a good starting point and a quick way to make what you want happen. If you wanted to push this into the Data Editor I'm quite certain there would be a way to create a Death Effect for Marines that spawned your Zombie unit. I also suggest the SC2Mapster IRC channel and the many excellent text and video tutorials created by the folks here at SC2Mapster. Seriously, just spend a couple hours watching those tutorials - you'll learn a ton.

its possible, u can do that with trigger definitely. Maybe with the data editor, not rly sure about it.
