Alright I have a shotgun that fires 3 missiles that collide into units and die on impact dealing damage. Now that works all fine and dandy
but I have a buff that the unit can get that allows for the bullets to pierce the target now when it comes to this the bullet will hit anything it goes through multiple times. Now I know I need a marker of some sort because a behavior would ruin it. But the problem is that I dont know where to put this marker because normally you have a persistent lasting the entire time to mark and hold the markers.
So my question is where do I put the marker and how would I go about it? Cuz im lost and nothing is working
So here is the process my bullets go through from weapon to target
The shotgun calls the Persistent
The persistent launches 3 missiles all with different offsets
On launch applies calls the search effect
Searches for new missiles to apply missile behaviors
Applies the behavior to the new found missile
Checks collisions for the missile
Used for offseting collisions and for backup checking if missile it fast (only doing one right now since its stacking damage with pierce)
This effect checks for if the caster/shooter has a pierce buff if it does it calls the damage effect if it doesnt it kills itself and on death does damage.

Argh anybody able to help? Just need the missile to hit a target once when passing through it

Has anyone figured a way to make it so a bullet will only hit the target once when traveling through it without using buffs.
