However, next to the No Pathing icon is a "No Fly Zone" button which will.

"I'm trying to make it so a Viking in flight mode can't fly over a a few cliffs, and I tried using the no fly zones but they don't seem to work."
They just fly right over them...
Edit: Hmm, deleted and replaced them and now they seem to work. Thanks anyhow I guess.
Well, with that fixed, anyone know how to change the duration of the viking morph? It's three seconds but nothing in the unit / ability / button seems to be set to 3.
Another approach is to set Movement - Collision to Ground, Air
This way flying units can only fly where ground units could walk...
It's a lazy solution, I know. ;-)
That's not actually a lazy way to go if u have to apply the ground collision individually to all units that fly.
I've looked on youtube and bnet, as well as tl for this one..
cmon mapster im betting on you...
I've got no fly zone stamps lining the places i dont want them to go.. but for some reason, if the medic for example has a destination on the other side of the no fly area that I have created.. it will basically faceplant into the wall of no fly zones and kind of straff side to side... I've even had an overlord moonwalking lol..
I would like the area to be treated like a cliff... and the air units to be smart (no faceplants) like the ground units and actually go AROUND my no fly zone...
I imagined placing a region with a no fly stamp but that doesnt fit into the area accurately enough anyway.

Under Terrain, click on the Pathing icon. That should give you a "No Pathing" option to paint your map with.
And that won't block flying units...

I actually just put a point called it "center point".
last created unit attacks to center point
last created unit attacks to left bottom region (whatever the opposing region might be.)
