Hi, I'm trying to transform my map into a Mod, I remove all the things on the map except the terrain because i don't know if I can do that xD Then i Save it as a .SC2Assets, renamed the folder to .SC2Mod and placed into the SC2 Mod folder.
Well..now I create a New map, added this mod to Dependencies and I place units and things, I can see my custome models, sounds, textures and all in the Editor.
When i launch the game ALL disapear...all that i got are white semispheres all around the place and the custome terrain texture is white.
I have yet to mess with custom mods (tho it is something I wish to do soon, to bypass the dependency limit.
Try removing your mod, then re-adding it to the dependcies then relaunch, so just the overview manager, see if its included in there or not.
I wish I could give more info, but as I said, I have yet to really jump into those yet.

Ok, I tried to create the mod from 0 as a Mod, and the same happens....i can see all in the Editor but when I launch the map all the custome models are white semispheres...
I have the same problem as you, one thing I noticed when adding the mod, in the desc it says "Core: not found" that may have something to do with it? im not sure.

i m facing exact same problem. after using custom mod based map, any custom models appear as spheres in game while appear fine in editor. anyone found a solution for this?
The problem is that he started with a map... then decided he wanted it to be a mod... you can't go back and forth between the two different types. Mods can NOT have terrain but a map can. The problem is that the map doesn't convert properly from a map to a mod. This is why the mod isn't working as intended.
I experience "core not found" when i accidentally use beta editor instead of retail editor. Not sure if this means anything to your problem, perhaps there is a tendency for it to access the wrong application while doing certain actions? I don't know if you have the beta editor installed but hey, just checking.
1. I started as a MOD, change some attributes in data as well as unit models
2. Then made a MAP, using my MOD as dependencies
3. Everything looks good in editor with new custom units etc
4. When testing in-game. The attributes from custom mod work.. but the custom models dont appear. All are replaced by Spheres.

I don't know what to do T_T nothing works, i can see all in the editor but ingame nothing works...no models, no sound, no textures..nothing.
try moving that mod to the top of the list. The campaign has some problems that are solved via that.
It doesn't work, seriously...I'm begining to understand why Blizzard needed so many time to do Starcraft 2.....god..

no here is the case:
1. I started as a MOD, change some attributes in data as well as unit models 2. Then made a MAP, using my MOD as dependencies 3. Everything looks good in editor with new custom units etc 4. When testing in-game. The attributes from custom mod work.. but the custom models dont appear. All are replaced by Spheres.
