what about a little workaround? you save the unit's current hitpoints, then let another unit do the damage, save the hitpoints after the damage was done and substract it from the value before -> dmg dealt :]
the question is, how many units do you want this to do for ^^

I'm working on a trigger, and I cannot find a way to set a variable to the amount of damage a unit takes.
I've searched and found topics where they suggest something like "Set Damage Taken to..." but I cannot find such a function.

Create a new variable with type : Convert Integer to Text, then create a text tag (the text is your variable itself) and attach it to a unit, etc.
