I have been trying at this for days now and I can't get an added weapon on a building to shoot for the life of me. For instance, I have a Dark Shrine that I have added the Colossus weapon to and the thing just sits there.
I know I am probably missing something dumb but I have all my triggers/spawns in place for a TD map but am stuck with only a handful of towers that were basically already units in the first place so they fire fine.
Anyone that can tell me how to flip the switch and make these things shoot that would be great!
If found that buildings cant use weapon right away because they lack the ability to turn to a attackable direction you can either change the attacks fireable angles or give the ability to turn which entails modifying the movement data and some flags

I had added it to the command card but had left the "ability" attack off just above that! Bringing me back to the card made me notice it!!!!
Arg so frustrating but now I can make some progress!
You can always make a custom turret and actor to get a building to attack in the manner you desire.
