You should probably do it the same way that Blizzard makes their units fire twice at the same time. Make one weapon, but make its effect launch two missiles. Look at the Phoenix for an example.
I believe no unit will ever fire multiple weapons at once. For example, the Thor has two different weapons it can use against Colossi, since they can be targeted as both ground and air; but it always just picks one (ground close enough, air otherwise).
Creating a persistent effect to fire multiple projectiles isn't what I was looking for. I have two completely different weapon setups doing completely different things.
Like Bifuu said, you can add your two weapons and set their backswing to 0, and uncheck "Shared Cooldown" from some string I forgot. Those, if I'm not mistaken, will let you used as many weapons as you want.
You can definitely have a unit fire multiple weapons at the same time...
Essentially: you need to uncheck shared cooldown & set their backswing point to 0 (or else they will interfere with each other). I remember changing several other flags/fields as well, but my unit also needed to fire while moving and in any direction as well.
In DNA Wars, I had a carrier which had 7 weapons all firing simultaneously -> PM me if you can't get it working.
How do I get a tower to fire two weapons at the same time? I have both weapons equipped on the unit but it only fires 1 currently.
havnt tested this, but try setting the backswings to 0

@Sublimity: Go

@Bifuu Going to try that right now
You could create a dummy unit with the specified weapon and force-move it to the tower via triggers

I cheated and turned my units into bunkers, lol.
I'll have to try out that backswing method though, could be very handy if it works.

Errrr right...
Here's the actual solution.

Don't download the map, it's outdated.
Using set on weapon effect works fine.
Though you may want to add weapon UI in unit fields.
