Bug that's been known to the mapping community for a while:
Can't detect a player disconnecting. We can detect a player quitting by themselves through the event of game-ui button clicked, and can detect a victory/defeat/tie... but just not disconnect. Hope this is fixed on release.
how do you make it so your teammates dont control the left players units?
i would simply just kill all of the player's units who left, might be another way though
You can also use triggers:
Setting a players alliance to "Ally with Shared Vision" will turn off shared control and resources.
I don't know why the Player leaves event doesn't fire the trigger
player leaves with any only fires when the player leaves with victory, defeat or tie but not when he just quits, thats the problem there

If player leaves, then: pick each unit owned by triggering player : Set owner of picked unit to neutral.

ah didn't know you could detect a normal quit with checking game-ui button clicked but yeah nevertheless this leaves us with the disconnect problem
