Hi mapsters, I have a map with 2 game modes and in both there are 2 teams with a maximum of 7 players in each team.
All players are set as terran in both modes and each team has a fixed AI player.
If I fill the lobby everything goes just fine, start locations, race, everything is correct. But if I don't fill the lobby everything goes crazy, enemies spawn side by side, and human players sometimes start with other races. I even started a match where both fixed AI players where my enemies!
I already set up team specifications for 2v2 up to 7v7 but only 7v7 works, and I don't want to make more game modes of each team size, because the problem will persist if a host starts a match before the lobby fills. Any ideas? How the hell am I suppsoed to fix it?
Apparently setting the player race to Terran in the game variant is not enough and sometimes another race appears in the game, but after I set Zerg, Protoss, and Random as 'removed' options for all players it doesn't happen anymore.
Now the start location is something entirely different. No matter what I do they are totally random unless I fill the lobby.
I have a similar issue. Despite setting the Races in the Player Properties or Game Variants, I always end up with a different Race UI in the game. What has happened since the patch here?
Edi:I looked into the Left 2 Die Player Properties and Game Variants and thought it has been done correctly there, but no, even there you start with a Zerg UI rather with a Terran UI when playing on Battle.Net (tested it alone). Something seems to be broken.

What I've heard is that the Game Variants is the one that matters, and that the Player Properties is really just for setting user control.. But yeah, I exactly the same issue as you and it's driving me mad.
