Ok. So I have this problem where I can't attach my actors and/or models to the right attachment point on my unit. I used the 'Attach actor to unit' and 'Attach model to unit' action in my triggers. I chose 'Weapon Left' for the attachment point. But the actor just attaches itself to the bottom of the unit. I tried using other valid attachments of the unit too, but it still attaches to the bottom. How do I fix this?
Which attachment points did you try? Maybe the unit just didn't have them all.
See if "overhead" works correctly (attachment should be attached above the head). Also, are you using a custom model or blizzard models?
If that doesn't help then you could post the map here for people to take a look at it.
You just described what you did (which seems fine) but it's hard to find out an error from that.
Oh it's okay now. I used a different alternative to position the actor at the attachment point. I attached the actor to the 'Overhead' attachment point of my unit, and applied a custom Site Op to the actor to offset it towards the 'Weapon Left' attachment point. But thanks for telling me to try other attachment points though. I wouldn't have been able to resolve this problem without that suggestion of yours. BTW, my unit uses the Viking model, and according to the model previewer, the 'Weapon Left' attachment point DOES exist, so I'm still not sure what caused the problem.
You have your Unit actor for your main object to attach stuff on. Use Model actors for the stuff to attach onto it (give them the correct creation/destruction events incase you want conditional attachments like when behavior applied) and under Hosting - Host - Subject set it to the actor you want to apply the attachment to (can have attachments on attachments). In the Hosting - Host Site Operations - Operations you put in your SOps to specify exactly where the attachment is created.
To specify which attachment point you need a Site Operation (Attachment), Set Attachment - Attachment Query - Methods to the attachment point you want (can be seen using model previewer) just remember with some weapon points 01 is index 0 so some experimentation may be needed and Hosting - Host Supporter - Subject to the actor you want to query.
You can then shift cordinates of the attachment using (Local Offset) and it's angle using (Explicit Rotation) SOps.

@xhahahax: Go
What do you mean by custom "Site Op"? I need to do this too.
He means the Site Operation actors.
