I want to make the camera rotate instead of pan when mouse scroll (on edge of screen) is used.
Right now I'm detecting camera movements and then altering rotation of the camera manually, but I know it's going to take forever to make it smooth/good.
It seems like the action Turn Camera Mouse Rotation On/Off is meant to accomplish exactly what I want, but I can't seem to get it work. Just to be clear, I do NOT want mouse-look (and I already know how to do it). I want to replace the default camera panning from mouse scroll with camera rotation instead. Does anyone know what "Camera Mouse Rotation" means, exactly?
when you have mouse relative mode on AND you also have mouse rotation on when you move the mouse, it rotates the camera, but the mouse isnt visable of course, so it probably wont do what you want it to do
i dont exactly know how to do what you want to do, but it probably involves using the event:
Camera - Player moves the camera for Mouse Scroll
Indeed, the mouse still needs to be visible. That event unfortunately is very very difficult to utilize (at least so far) while keeping the camera smooth.
I think u should create a new camera (camera 01 for example), change the detail of this camera in terrain editor(i think angle-roll is what u want) then:
Action: apply camera~>camera 01, duration: xxx
