I duplicated marine unit with everything except upgrades. Then I removed the stimpack ability from it and also I removed the ability stimpack copy from data editor. Now everytime I open the map I get this message:
@JaakkoAA: Go It's reffering to the sounds in the new actor. Probably the ones linked to your duplicated ability. Remove those and I believe it will be solved.
@JaakkoAA: Go Did you remove the duplicated ability from the list? The actor is trying to link to an ability that no longer exist. Or you can make it point to the original one.
@SoulFilcher: Go
Yes I removed it and now I removed everything else that was duplicated and the marine copy too and I get no errors anymore lol
But still it's confusing how linking all these data types works. For example if I remove one unit I don't know what else to remove and if they are being used by other units. Also when I duplicate I don't know are sounds required to be duplicated or can I link the old ones to another unit.
@JaakkoAA: Go If you want a duplicated marine you only need to duplicate the unit and actor. Don't go duplicating everything, it will only give you headaches. You can give any unit any soundset, ability, weapon, and so on, no need to duplicate those.

XML: GameData\ActorData.xml(72,9) : Unable to write value: Stimpack2,Execute; reason: Core: invalid object type identification Source: C:/Users/.../Documents/Map.SC2Map Entry: Marine2 Scope: CActorUnit.SUnitAbilSound Field: AbilSoundArray[0].AbilCmd
Why? I tried to search the data editor but I don't find anything and also I don't even understand what data type this error refers to. :/

@SoulFilcher: Go I removed all the duplicated sounds but I still get the same error. :/

@SoulFilcher: Go Okay thanks this was very helpful. :D
