Add a condition comparison unit (triggering unit) != UnitYouDontWantToTrigger
There is a kill credit flag for units in the data module. I haven't tried it, but if you turn that off, it would probably make it so the kill counter doesn't increment for killing it.

Register an event that occurs when the unit is killing another unit.
There's a unit property you can edit specifically for his kills.
Just decrement it by one for every kill he gains. :P

You can always do it through triggers.
If a unit is killed
Condition: Triggering unit is equal to (whatever)
Remove kills from killing unit.
I guess a behaviour that works under on fatal evenets could work to remove unit before giving kill credit.
