i created a hero with 5 attributes but i almost wonder where i can set the starting value of my attributes.
i want them to be 10 at lvl 1 but they are always just 0 - i already explored how to raise them through level ups! =)
How do you get it to be permanent? I can't get the values to stay - it reverts back when the buff time is up. And I don't want the buff to stay on the entire game...
Any argument that you do not wish to have a behavior active on a unit the whole time?
You do know that you can hide "buffs", right? They will still be active on the unit, they just won't show in the buff list.
Anywho, iirc the stats are added through an Effect. You can simply apply the effect to the unit(s) you desire via triggers through the "Environment - Add # Effect..." (can't remember the exact syntax, don't have the editor her).
Heroes start at level 0, not 1. Just make your Veterancy give X levels of the Attribute at level 1, then make level 1 require 0 XP. Your Heroes will automatically be level 1 and get the Attributes.

Oh, okay thanks. Is there any advantage to using a buff then? And for future reference, how do you hide buffs from the list?

Use an additional Buff Behavior that gives him the initial values.
