since the last patch "mouse camera movement" can no longer be used with Camera Yaw of Player.
im seeing that many 3rd person maps suffer from the exact same problem as my map. anyone have an idea on fixing this? better yet, who has a link to a better more solid 3rd person engine tutorial?
I have a great 3ps map done almost purely with triggers that got crippled by the function error, so I moved the trigger set to a new map and now the system works fine. What is really puzzeling me is that whenever the new map bounds are changed, the yaw function stops working again. It could be possible that there could be a relationship between the map bounds and the yaw function.
As for the people who are suffering from this issue, I would recomend copying your trigger set to anouther map to see if they work there.
lol. I posted about this like a month ago and got no replies.
The game does not track player camera movement outside of a 64x64 rectangle on the corners of the map. The amount of corners where it works varies, but on all map sizes the bottom left region works. It will work fine if you stay in the rectangle.
This applies to replays as well, and is whats currently causing the bug where "follow player camera" does not work.
Ahh ha!, so thats the reason! I ran a few tests to verify this with my 3ps map and everything matches up.
This will definatly be a great workaround so that we can have everything ready and waiting once the bug is patched!
@halthought -> Thanks for letting me know. :)

We know, and we feel your pain. :(
This is probably something that will be fixed in the next patch, so I don't think it's time to scrap the 3rd person genre just yet.
okay its been 2 patches later guys anyone got it working yet? mine didnt...
Still dead. Will be fixed for release I guess.
