Monthly Mapping Exercise [MME] allows you to practice your Terraining, Data, and Triggering Skills all at once.
This will allow people to balance out between Terraining, Data Editing and Triggering.
For the first map it will be basic. You will have half a month because this will require no Data Editing nor Triggering.
Please note that a winner WILL be announced. If the map does not meet the minimum requirements below it is not eligible to win.
This MME is going to be a Melee Map.
2 Expansions Per Player
2 Rich Mineral Deposits
Choke point in the center of the map
Rich Mineral Deposits must be near the central choke point
I finished my map up... Put more various terrain and put a little noise on it as well... It's still pretty bland...
I added ramps to the vantage points... [They were supposed to be there before but they got deleted when I was modifying them...]

Play around with it... Just don't modify it then re-upload it please...
Is it the similar one to what's happening in team liquid forums ? I cant find much melee mapmakers here though. pm me if you want more exposure for this exercise.
Edit: nvm, melee map are specific to this week only, but this have too many restricted rules, you can always share some idea for an actual contest for mapster :) (in fact our contest is like once a month..)
Much better restriction. That will help people be able to make there own unique map easier. :) Only thing is, with your Xel"Naga restriction, you should have it so its not required to be in the central, but where most of the action and movements will be.
its not exactly finished but this is my first melee map. I THINK it has what you are looking for. Sorry, like I said this is my first EVER map... I know its got err, issues. my next attempt will be with Shakuras terrain and i know I can do waaaaay better now :)
the one blue/watery spot probably wont be water..but some other movement blocker (like small elevated area with a statue)
