I am trying to modify the name Custom Resource that can be displayed as a Custom Resource frame, similar to Mineral Count, Vespene Gas Count, and Supply count... needless to say I cant find where to modify any of these values for the game UI.. anyone have any ideas?
Gonna have to top this. I have spent at least 5 hours looking for it with no success. I have checked everything. My final conclusion is that you might create a variable, and then a custom function to modify the value. However, I have no idea how to do that. So for the time being I have been using terrazine, but thats far less cool. So if anyone could point me in the direction to modify the icon graphic and name of a "Custom Resource", or even the mineral field icon/name it would be greatly appreciated.
So the way I figure it is you can create a custom trigger timer and window, and have it increase whenever the resource is collected. Copy the unit properties of a regular mineral, change the actor associated with it and its varying properties to what you want. Then, place that unit on your map. Go into triggers, assign that object a custom variable in the trigger, and assign the event to whenever the trigger is true, define the trigger to be when the resource is collected, then the timer inside the timer is increased by the value you want it to.
Open up the text editor, go to Core.SC2Mod and find "Custom Resource" from there including the others.
I'd say that you should be able to import a new image and overwrite the old like in WC3.
Got to Data Editor->Races. There is a field where you pick what resources are shown. Unfortunately the UI is not properly offset tho, so enabling, say Terrazine, will displace the Food cap out of the screen.

UI/ResourceToolTip0=Minerals are used to build your forces. Harvest more minerals from mineral fields.

Eh. I assume you modify it with a trigger? cause I dont have anything that just reads UI as the directory in the data editor
