Hello, any one know how to make unit auto attack while he moving, like uberlisk do? i saw xml tutorial but didnt really get it, and changing 'allow movement" in weapon didnt make it too. i want to have turrets on units that attack individual, without orders.
And another thing, i cant find how to change unit path size, any one find it?
In the weapon's section, change
"(none)- Allowed Movement" to move.
Also, go to
"(none)- Options" and uncheck Only fire at target and Only fire while attacking
Also, though I haven't tested it, I think that if you uncheck "Linked Cooldown" you can have them use other attacks while using this one (like the uberlisk can use his melee attacks while firing his spine crawlers)
Also, if you want him to only use his melee attacks at close quarters (he'll use his spine crawlers on other enemies, though), add a minimum range value to the weapon.
Tnx, now its shoot on move, and weapons act weird.
I put to sieg tank his normal weapons, colosus lancers and missile from missiles turrets. On ground he use weapon depending on range, but if i directly send order to attack air he will use both air and ground weapons.
I was able to get a unit to use a photon cannon as his weapon, and i added a turret to this weapon, so he can now shoot from any angle.
If i set the weapon property: (None) - Target Filters to allow it to attack without being told to attack, my unit will now continuously attack while moving :)
that's super.
my next obstacle at this time is to develop a targeting style of system.
my goal is to not allow my unit to attack unless i have specified a target. (think of eve online if you are familiar)
then, once a target is acquired, it will continuously attack that target and i can issue movement orders at will.

im also working on this (as well as a form of 'sticky' targeting system) i'll let you know if i make any leadway. (not having much luck atm)

I'm still a little iffy on the whole thing myself. If I experimented a bit more, I could probably make a nice, detailed tutorial.
