Is there a way to start the editor without having to F** login to battlenet? Why do they have to activate my copy of the editor every single time? I know that before i didn't have to, but now i do?
I wouldnt exactly say i hate wat they doing. sc2 was an awesome game, and just look how versatile the editor is which we are all able to use. i do however agree having to log into the editor is a bit of a pain
You don't get the message always. Only after each restart.
And I believe it's an unwanted bug. Probably the verification doesn't get saved correctly and is placed as a temporary file that gets deleted after each restart.
Guess they'll fix it somewhen (Blizzard-)soon.
@Everyone: What Operating system are you using? XP? Vista? Seven? Linux?
It also auto-authens when you log into SC2. So if you were to play SC2 BEFORE loading the editor, no verification. Also said verification resets every 6-8 hours.
im on xp and i dont log in to the editor or the game to use the editor. furthermore i can't test my maps if starcraft is already running, it has to be closed and rebooted via editor in order to work

Its not really everytime but quite often. The mechanics is not known yet at the moment but it sucks. May be after some patch ago they changed that
It just sucks so bad, everytime i want to do some editing on my laptop when i'm not home, i can't.
Blizz is really disappointing me with sc2. The publishing crap, the popularity crap, the editor. I'm hating what they are doing.
Huh? I've never had to log in to use the editor, though..

Agreed 100%

You guys are so weird. I still have no idea what anyone is talking about.
Try launching the editor when your computer isn't connected to internet: you'll get a message asking you to log before using the editor.
I tried just now, and I could start the editor fine.
U probably dont have the latest patch. It is a new feature. Thats the only explanation i can think of
Or maybe this requirement doesn't actually exist. I like that explanation better.

That seems very odd. I hadn't actually played SC2 or started it at all for two days or so now.
Could be a windows-only issue.
I was thinking that XP users might not get affected, but that's just a random guess.
I use xp, and only had to login to the editor after installing the game
I'm using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate and I have never logged into my b.net account via the editor. I would go with this being a bug.
I have to do it every day, I'm using Vista.
