I've been wondering about the development process of GameCube games, specifically Melee. How did it go from a game design pitch to a disc you can put into a GameCube? Did they have a game development platform/engine like unreal or source? Or was it all hard coded in c++ or java? How were the models created? Did they have playable builds on a computer or did they burn unfinished builds onto melee discs and play them? How did they create those builds?
Maybe this question makes no sense, but I haven't found any answers thus far. Any info on this would be much appreciated. https://xender.vip/
