You can't use the data related to Physics in WoL (as in it doesn't work and you can't test it), and some of the new data types only have assets built for them in the HotS dependencies (like Arc or Quad Actors). I don't know if you can use the data types in the WoL editor, but you probably can as long as you make your own assets for them.
So WoL players that use the map editor can't add, say... Vipers to their maps?
There is only one editor- regardless of your "expansion level", the editor and game client are exactly the same. If you don't buy hots you will not be able to use the hots dependencies, which means you can't add the hots units, sounds effects, models, and other assets.

Just curious.
Not anything HotS exlusive. Well apart from the art assets such as models. Any improvement that was made was added in patch 2.0.

@LongLivetheTalDarim: Go
Correct. WoL users don't have access to the new units, models, sounds, tilesets, music, etc.

Copying them into a WoL map is a violation of Blizzards TOS and can lead to a ban.
