A little off topic, but i'd like to point out that for a released game, sc2 still seems buggy enough to be in beta stages.

The map editor isn't directly supported by blizzard. The actual game is complete and the editor is just a bonus even if it is a little buggy for some people... Unless you're talking about the actual game where I haven't found any bugs...

You mean not completely supported. If blizzard isn't supporting the map editor, then who is? I don't think they really go through a middle man though sometimes I they may do it with the mac version.

Blizzard does not offer tech support for the map editor. That's what's meant by "supported" - incidentally a different word than "developed."

You do know that you're evil right? Of course they support this mother. They just don't want people pressing them like they owe something. But they do support it.

For all of you suffering the dependency bug from beta > retail. there is a simple fix which means you don’t have to go through the motions every time

make sure that the campaign dependency is at the top of the list. save close and reopen you map. and huzzah it’s working.

You don't expect them to make an icon for every single thing in the editor do you? That would take ages.

View/Show Terrain/Water.

And the preview box is blank because its a 3d previewer and when the game was released the camera's target for the previewer doesn't target the actual unit model anymore. If you click and drag the screen it'll change where its targeted, but its still really hard to find the unit, usually.

for the previewer, click the button at the top which looks like 4 arrows pointing outward. that will center the view on your actor.

I think people need to label their posts with the patch number if we're going to keep it all in one thread.

Not sure this has been noted before, but I'm fairly certain it wasn't in during phase 1. We now have search function for terrain, data, and trigger module. Press Ctrl + F. Sure sounds helpful sometimes

@BloodClud and S3rius Did you guys only use the Diagonal Fence? Because I still have that

I'm not sure if this is a new bug or a still persistent bug. I can't set a camera objects rotation to a value between 90 and 270 degrees (quadrants 2 and 3).
