In the data editor, whenever you switch from one item to another item in the same list, the list of fields snaps back up to the top. IE, you want to copy a hit point value onto eight different units, every time you switch to a new unit the field pane will snap back to the top. If you have all the fields in a single list like I do, you have to scroll back down to the hit points field for each unit.
Pretty sure there were undocumented ui text label changes. Some text boxes that fix text values before-hand are not quite largest enough. I think this was documented, but changing the color through triggers for ui labels works now.
My new map had a data problem in 1.2. Some actor events are behaving differently. I had a bug where everything turned into banelings due to a bad actor creation event.
Same here with the actors. In my map, any time a unit breaks an attack to move somewhere it creates an infested terran actor on said unit. And this is for a version that was stable before the patch... O.o
I had my units turn into odin when they attacked. Some buttons disappeared altogether (cloak, prismatic beam and some custom passives) and raynor's railgun snipe was mysteriously changed to passive in command card. One actor event was changed from Create to Destroy. WTF random! You basically can't even anticipate what is messed up, there is no logic or strategy to hunting and fixing the bugs. It is as if some jerk opened your map file and mischieviously changed random things. You basically have to test each unit in your map to make sure they haven't been fiddled with. This is another F-U to the custom map community.
BTW how I fixed my issue with odin appearing when units attacking is go to Odin actor and delete Weapon*Start: Create and Weapon*Finish: Destroy
check your actor links for your unit catelog. Something changed in the new patch for actor creation events. My map was creating a baneling everytime someone attacked.
Q. (Eternal) - How will patches effect the custom maps already developed? Will it change within the dependencies? Will it override the unit if it has already been altered? Will it override a unit if it has been unaltered? More importantly, will it at all jack up our map?
A. Balance changes will only affect LibertyMulti, but bug fixes in a patch may change Liberty data. So generally custom maps will not be affected by patches unless you have LibertyMulti as a dependency.
When you override/extend data from a dependency, the map only stores the difference between the map data and the dependency data. The fields that are most vulnerable to being broken by a dependency change are array fields that only have specific indexes overriden. We've worked a lot to ensure that custom maps won't be broken by patches and will try to improve this in the future.
^this won't resolve all issue caused by the patch, but could minimize the changes.
Blizzard totally fucked us with the mouse position. All we asked for was to be able to get the x,y positon of the mouse. Instead of a function, blizz makes it an EVENT. This EVENT can not be throttled at all. The net traffic generated with 4 players is worthless. Instead of making it a function so that we would read the positon every .3 seconds, instead they make an EVENT that we have no way to throttle.

No issues with experience or random banelings for me. However, my game freezes, if one of my heroes (based on Jim Raynor) kills a unit, using his normal attack. Killing with spells works fine.
Also some issues with command card buttons not showing up.
€ They seem to not have changed the channels, the 3 messages per 20 seconds limit is still up. They cannot be serious -.-

Yeah, 7. We only had 6 until now. My editor, don't know why, has the old images (Patch 1.0), so I can't extract this 7th sheet.
If someone does, it would be great. I tried to get it from the official website, but they haven't updated it (probably to avoid people seeing the icons for the 20 custom maps achievements found in the files during PTR).
As usual posts any unusual changes/ bugs that you find in the latest live patch 1.2 here.
Same goes with unexpected results in testing the new features.

Oh hey here's one thing- I clicked the hotkey button in options and the game crashed.

It keeps the same issue in PTR that hero can't gain EXP when "Melee - Set default melee options for all players" is used.

there is a workaround to this i believe. turn the trigger off, wait 0.3 seconds, turn it back on? that way the event shouldn't fire.

I checked the game's mpq files, and there's no trace of a ui_wol_achievement_sheet7.dds. It only goes up to 6. Probably they will patch it in later.
