I just need a quick thought on the best approach to limiting a set of upgrades.
I have 8 different upgrades available to a player / unit.
I want the player to be able to choose any 3 they want but after the 3rd make the rest unavailable. (so they can only choose 3)
I am thinking on how to do this in the requirements by my logical brain is not giving me the solution.
According to an online combination calculator, there are 56 possible combinations! I think that would be extremely difficult to do in requirements if even possible at all. Not to mention I would have no idea how to do it.
Under the Use part of the requirement have a Less Than node and under the Less Than node have an And node followed by a Constant node (below the And). Under the And node you have Count Upgrade nodes equal in number to all your upgrade options with the State set to Queued Or Better. The constant is then set equal to 3.

So you're saying I put this settings on ALL 8 of my upgrades?
Are the count upgrade nodes below the constant or above it? Or does that matter?
EDIT: This does not work. Here is a photo showing you what I have put on all 8 upgrades. After testing multiple times on different upgrades, still does not work.
I have officially solved this. Sorry DrSuperEvil. I believe you are mistaken. It actually requires a Sum Node, not an And node when placing all the options underneath it. But you're original idea was correct to compare the completed upgrade counts against the constant.
Thanks!
I Have posted an image of the solution for anyone else thats interested.

Use a Less Than node with an And node and a Constant node.
That way your Count Upgrade Completed At Player are all equivalent so add to a total that is then compared against the constant.

Could you explain it in laymen's terms? Or provide an example maybe?

Also tried it this way after re-reading your post.... Still doesn't work...
