Check the Acquire fields under the Weapons data type and the Behavior: Response field under the Units data type. Alternatively give it a Buff with the benign/passive flags.

It does not attack without given a command now. My next problem is that it just continues attacking stuff when issued the attack order. Even if I click stop it won't stop attacking.
Mhm, I made buff that makes the unit passive, it still attacks things after the initial target is dead.
I read a thread about adding some validators, so I tried adding the caster, not in combat, but that did not work either. I noticed that the unit won´t go out of combat after the initial target is dead it just goes on to the next target, and the buff never gets applied in between.
I have this unit, or a cannon really. I want it to be unable to start attacking things in its range and only attack when I specifically order it too.
I have tried to alter AI response and behavior response, but it is not the thing controlling what I want to achieve.
Can someone please help me?

Again the acquisition of the attack ability is an issue. Like stated before Buffs can add flags like Passive and Benign to fix this.

Just have the buff on all the time. Again try the Benign flag. Critters use it and they can still attack but will not initiate attacks.

Nope, it does not work, unfortunately. The tower just keeps firing at anything in range. Even if the buff is active.
It´s like the stop button won´t work even though its set up right.
